Improvements in cardiovascular stroke and ischemic heart disease incidences in the UK

A population based study published in the BMJ has identified new trends in cardiovascular disease incidences, which has seen coronary heart disease drop by 30% from 2000 – 2019, thanks to medical interventions. The research found that valve disease, thromboembolic events, and cardiac arrhythmias increased.
