Celebrating Excellence: Professor Alex Comninos Wins Prestigious Researcher Award
The Society for Endocrinology is thrilled to announce that one of our esteemed members, Professor Alex Comninos, has been honoured with the prestigious Researcher Award at this year's Royal College of Physicians (RCP) Awards. This accolade, presented in collaboration with the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), recognizes Professor Comninos's outstanding contributions to the field of endocrinology.

Professor Comninos expressed his gratitude, saying, "I'm really honoured to receive this recognition from the RCP and NIHR. There is no doubt that the SfE has supported me and given me a platform for much of my work since I first attended the annual conference (BES) as a medical student back in 2001. I am also indebted to my brilliant endocrine colleagues and mentors (especially Professor Dhillo, Professor Meeran and Dr Abbara) and, of course, the participants without whom there is no clinical research. There is so much more we can do, and I hope to continue to drive clinical research within our endocrine community for years to come, as well as mentor the next generation."
