School resources on anabolic steroid misuse

Developed by a team of doctors working across the UK in various specialities, these videos were developed to educate secondary school-aged children on the risks of misusing anabolic steroids. This is a growing issue not only worldwide but also in the UK and evidence has shown misuse is often starting in adolescence. We recommend using these videos in schools, such as in PSHE lessons. 

Hosted by Becky and Dom, these four videos explore the risks of Anabolic Steroid misuse. They include an introduction video which covers what Anabolic steroids are and their therapeutic uses, as well as explaining about the hormone testosterone. The other 3 videos cover possible side effects and risks of misuse of Anabolic steroids. For example, when used as an Image and Performance Enhancing Drug; for which they are used not only by athletes, but also by people looking to gain muscle in the gym or to enhance their image.
